Generate proxies
Build gateway strings for your session. Settings are encoded straight into the proxy username.
Sticky keeps the same IP per session ID until TTL expires. Rotating gives a fresh IP each request.
Optimised routing for a target. Sets the pool prefix in the string.

Architecture
How the pieces fit.
VexProxy sits between your customers and the upstream proxy network. It never proxies traffic itself — it manages users, sells data, and hands out gateway strings.
Two layers
- Reseller API
/api/v1— create users,add-data/remove-data, balance, transactions, analytics. This is what the backend calls. - Gateway
eu|us|asia.vexproxy.io— the actual proxy. All targeting (country, city, ASN, session, TTL) is encoded in the username string.
The money-critical path
- Paddle
transaction.completed→ webhook (signature-verified, idempotent onevent_id) →POST /residential/add-data. - Never credit on a pending charge. The webhook is the source of truth, not the client.
Daily limit enforcement
- PV pushes live usage over the residential WebSocket (
/residential/webhook). Consume it, tally per user, rotate the password once the cap is hit. - You're not in the data path, so expect a few % overshoot — that's fine.
Suggested stack
- Next.js frontend · FastAPI backend · Postgres for the user→PV mapping + order ledger · Discord OAuth for login.
